EESC, FEBEA and Cassa Padana event: "Territorial Banking:How is it different?"

The EESC applauds the consideration the European Commission has given to the introduction of calibrated  financial regulation frameworks to consider the specificities of cooperative and savings banks that avoid the undesirable effects of uniform application of prudential rules and possibly an overload of administrative burdens. The Committee has always been committed to a level playing field, and therefore recommends the use of objective parameters that justify a specific regulation for each business model.

EESC rapporteur Mr Trias Pintó, the president of the EESC´s Various Interest Group Mr Luca Jahier, and EESC member Mr Guiseppe Guerini will contribute to the debate on these crucial issues at a high level event co-organised by the EESC with FEBEA (European Federation of Ethical and Alternative Banks) and its Italian member Cassa Padana on Friday, 29 May 2015 in Leno, Italy.
