This year’s National Social Economy Meetings (OSES) will take place in Cracow from 11 till 12 October 2012.
It is already 6th edition of the main Polish annual conference for people and institutions working in the social economy sector in Poland and abroad. They are devoted to discussing present issues concerning social economy institutions as well as future perspectives of the sector. OSES also offers great networking opportunities. This year’s OSES is a part of the United Nations’ International Year of Cooperatives. Therefore, its leading topic will be the role of cooperatives in social economy. Nevertheless, focus is also going to be put on many other pertinent issues relating to the condition of the sector. One of the aims will be to discuss a new proposal for a National Program for Social Economy Development in Poland, European Commission’s plans to support the growth of social enterprises in Europe within the forthcoming EU financial framework and the promotion of social clauses in public procurement procedures.
