Diaspora Business displays the businesses start-ups led by migrant entrepreneurs in Europe, born in the framework of the EU-supported B.I.T.E. project. The objective of the website is attracting investors interested in financing one or more sustainable businesses.
“BITE – Building Integration Through Entrepreneurship” supports the development of businesses led by the African Diaspora in Italy, Greece and Sweden. Focus is on MSMEs with sound social and environmental impact. The customized training and mentoring boosts both the entrepreneurial development and the socio-economic integration of the participants joining the initiative. The transnational consortium operates in Italy, Sweden and Greece and it is led by Etimos Foundation.
After being selected, entrepreneurs participated in a management course followed by a 1 to 1 mentoring phase to consolidate their financial and economic plans. Diaspora entrepreneurs involved in B.I.T.E. are now presenting their businesses in this website to attract potential impact-investors.
