What do we do?
FEBEA’s mission is to support its members, represent them before European Institutions, and share knowledge of Ethical Finance with other stakeholders.
FEBEA’s main goals are:
Support its members and facilitate a variety of services, including support in creating banking and financial instruments that are necessary to accomplish their goals.
Represent its members before EU institutions and financial and political actors in Europe.
Foster the exchange of information, experiences and cooperation between national networks and social economy and finance practitioners in Europe.
Participate in EU-funded projects with key partners aimed at achieving goals compatible with those of Ethical Finance.
Service to members
Exchange
FEBEA facilitates the exchange of information and good practices among its members. It is a place of convergence and cooperation between regional and national networks of social economy and ethical finance in Europe and in the European Economic Area. FEBEA members are eligible for Study Visit and Technical Assistance services.
Representation
FEBEA’s mission is to improve the visibility of Ethical Finance across Europe and represent its members before European institutions. Additionally, FEBEA acts as a mediator, connecting its members with opportunities offered by the EU for financial actors, ensuring that all possible resources reach ethical financiers.
Policy update
FEBEA members are constantly updated about ongoing discussions at the European institutions regarding finance, banking regulation, and sustainable and social taxonomy. They also receive comprehensible analyses of various policies passed by the EU institutions. Additionally, several consultations are submitted on behalf of FEBEA members during the policy-making stage. Stay updated here.
Trainings and technical assistance
FEBEA offers a wide range of training programs, workshops, webinars, and, when required, technical assistance services to coach its members in the required areas.
Study visits
Exchange between the different actors of ethical finance across Europe is one of the network’s strengths. FEBEA offers its members the opportunity to learn about ethical finance’s realities all across Europe through a program of Study Visits.
European projects
FEBEA actively participates in a variety of European funded projects across several programs such as ESF+, Erasmus+, COSME, H2020, and more. We bring the perspective of ethically driven financial actors to many of these initiatives. Discover our ongoing projects here.
